Overview
Hockey Road to the Show (HRTTS) is the most realistic 'Be a Pro' hockey simulation series on the internet. Create your player and guide him to the NHL by choosing either the NCAA or major junior route. HRTTS includes real players, real teams and realistic hockey simulations.
Player Hub
Once you click 'Players' and create your profile and you are accepted into the game (process generally takes up to 24 hours), you will see your players person thread in the Player Hub. Here, all unassigned player threads are posted. Because you are in this unassigned zone you will have contract offers ready for you to accept.
Contracts
New players are signed with their junior club (USHL or CHL) for the entire duration of their junior career (up to age 20). Players who commit to an NCAA school will be committed to up four seasons unless a player decides to explore professional contracts. AHL contracts are always one season deals while NHL contracts can be multi-year deals and both one-way and two-way contracts.
Waivers
NHL teams who send down players who have one-way contracts are subject to waivers. All other 29 NHL teams have up to 24 to claim the player. If an NHL team sends down a player on a two-way contract, he will immediately report without being subject to Waivers.
Draft
NHL teams own every players rights up until the next NHL Draft. If a player does not sign with the NHL team who drafts him he will automatically re-enter the following seasons draft.
Free Agents
Any player not drafted into the NHL and is no longer eligible to play juniors is a free agent and able to sign with any AHL or NHL team.
Contract Extensions
Players will only receive contract extensions in their final season of their contract. Contracts cannot be terminated due to inactivity.
Inactives
Players deemed inactive are those who have not logged in in 14+ days (unless prior notice is given, i.e. vacation etc.) Inactives will see a decrease in weekly XP and their player will automatically be deleted at the end of the current season.
Training Camp
Players will automatically attend the camp of their current team at the beginning of the season. Players can also be invited to camps of higher teams (e.g. USHL player invited to NHL camp.)
Schedules/Standings
Simulation schedules, standings and more can all be found on our main website (leaguelineup.com/hockeyrtts) I am currently working on securing a domain name for the series.
Suspensions
Cheating will not be tolerated in HRTTS. If you are caught cheating (continual usage of excessive XP, multiple accounts, tampering) you will receive either a warning or be suspended. Level of suspension will be determined based on severity.
General Managers
We have introduced the option for people to be a GM of an NHL team. You can create a GM profile in the 'Start Here' board called 'General Manager.' Once accepted, you will have exclusive access to then GM Office where you, and other NHL GMs, can discuss trades, signings and other topics of discussion privately. All teams must be compliant with league roster rules. Teams may not have more than 25 players on their NHL team at any time. A penalty will be given if roster exceeds 25.
Rosters always mimic real-life rosters except for human trades between NHL teams and HRTTS AHL call ups.
